Our Accommodation

Country cottages to rent in Suffolk:
Modern, self catering holidays in rural Suffolk or business accommodation near Ipswich

Our cottages (five in all) were previously a milking parlour and old granary and have been tastefully modernised, with support from Defra under the Rural Enterprise Scheme, to provide good quality (four star), spacious accommodation. The cottages are based around an old brick lined courtyard with access to a games and leisure room and each has it’s own paved patio. Our grass play/picnic area is an ideal place to relax while the children use up their excess energy on the play equipment or playing football.

The Hayloft:Sleeps 1 - 2
Wheelwright's Cottage:Sleeps 1 - 4
Coachman's Cottage:Sleeps 1 - 6
Churn House:Sleeps 1 - 6
The Old Dairy:Sleeps 2 + 2 on Sofabed

Each cottage has a well-equipped fitted kitchen with dishwashers (except The Hayloft), DVD players and flat screen TVs. A selection of games and DVDs are also available. Individually controlled heating and hot water systems are included in the price, together with bed linen and towels. We are currently exploring the possibility of providing Internet access.

The Old Dairy and Wheelwright’s Cottage (sleeping up to four people each) are both ground floor properties and offer Levels 2/3 access to less mobile visitors, whilst Churn House and Coachman’s Cottage are suitable for families sleeping up to six people each. Coachman’s Cottage has the added luxury of a sumptuous king-sized, four-poster bed in the master bedroom and an en-suite bathroom attached to the ground floor bedroom. Churn House and Wheelwright’s Cottage can be combined into one unit sleeping ten people by means of an inter-locking door.

The Hayloft is a single storey, first floor studio apartment, with panoramic views from the sitting room and oak balcony, of old established meadows (grazed by our flock of Jacob sheep) and a large pond, visited regularly by several breeds of wildfowl, such as Canada geese, herons, mallard and cormorants.

Visiting horses would also welcome our peaceful setting of well-maintained paddocks and quality, brick built stables with good lighting and water supply. Dogs will be welcome (maximum two per cottage) but guests will understand they must be well behaved and kept under control at all times and respect our facilities for the enjoyment of fellow visitors and those who follow them.

We are Welcome Hosts and promise to go out of our way to facilitate the enjoyment of our disabled guests and their carers. A portable hearing induction loop will be available and The Old Dairy in particular has been designed to be fully accessible and as comfortable as possible with higher level seating and generously proportioned rooms.

Individual cottage pictures will be added to this site shortly.
